Julien Barriol's “Overwrite” exhibition at Montpellier Sotheby's International Realty – 3 Art Days · Fall Edition

Montpellier Sotheby’s International Realty presents its new exhibition as part of its “3 Art Days – Fall Edition” concept, from November 20 to 22, 2025. For this occasion, our agency located at 3 rue Foch in Montpellier will be transformed into a pop-up gallery to welcome contemporary artist Julien Barriol and his exhibition “Overwrite,” curated by Matthieu Faurie.

The “Overwrite” exhibition explores the visible and invisible layers of memory through a work of superimpositions, erasures, asemic writing, and urban textures. Through his pictorial gestures and visual sedimentations, Julien Barriol reveals what persists beneath the surface: the trace of a movement, the imprint of a thought, the marks left by time.

The opening will take place on Thursday, November 20, at 6 p.m., by invitation only. The exhibition will then be open to the public free of charge on November 21 and 22, and until January 30, 2026, by appointment, allowing visitors to discover this unique work in the heart of Montpellier's historic center, in the elegant and heritage-rich atmosphere of our agency.
